Moisturizers — Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramides, Polyglutamic Acid
Dry or dehydrated skin manifests as tightness, a dull complexion, fine lines, and makeup that doesn’t stay on. The solution: moisturizers with the right active ingredients — and a routine that hydrates consistently, from cleansing to day cream. At BONSANA, you’ll find 49 moisturizing products with 1% and 10% hyaluronic acid, 3% polyglutamic acid, 3% ceramides, Centella Asiatica, and aloe vera.
All products ship from our Swiss warehouse, with 24-hour shipping and free shipping on orders over CHF 50.
What does “moisturizing” actually mean?
Moisturizing care provides the skin with water-binding active ingredients (humectants like hyaluronic acid) and seals them in with nourishing lipids (occlusives like ceramides). The result: skin that feels supple, feels less tight, and looks visibly nourished. Important to know — dry (too few lipids) and dehydrated (too little water) are two different conditions, but they often occur together.
The most important active ingredients for moisturizing care
- Hyaluronic acid (1%, 10%) — binds up to 1,000 times its own weight in water. SKIN REPUBLIC Hyaluronic Acid 1% Serum (gentle), SKINCYCLOPEDIA Hyaluronic Acid 10% + B5 (intensive)
- Polyglutamic acid (3%) — hyaluronic acid’s cousin with a similar effect, combines well. SKINCYCLOPEDIA Polyglutamic Acid Serum 3%
- Ceramides — nourishing lipids for the skin’s surface. SKINCYCLOPEDIA Ceramide Serum 3%
- Centella Asiatica (Cica) — soothes and nourishes sensitive skin. HIDEHERE Cica Care Line
- Aloe Vera — used as a booster in many sheet masks and body lotions
- Collagen + Adenosine — overnight care. HIDEHERE Collagen Sleeping Mask, SKIN REPUBLIC Bio-Collagen Overnight
The Moisturizing Routine
- Gentle cleansing — no drying cleansers. HIDEHERE Green Tea Collagen Gel Cleanser or MAD HIPPIE Cream Cleanser
- Essence/Toner — apply to slightly damp skin. HIDEHERE Hyaluronic Essence as a booster step
- Active ingredient serum — hyaluronic acid or polyglutamic acid in the morning and evening
- Eye cream — pat in Hyaluronic Eye Cream
- Moisturizer — HIDEHERE Hyaluronic Cream or Cica Care Cream as the final step
- Sunscreen — essential during the day; UV rays exacerbate dehydration
- Weekly — Sleeping Mask (HIDEHERE Collagen Sleeping Mask, SKIN REPUBLIC Bio-Collagen Overnight) as an extra layer of care

FAQ: Moisturizing Care
Hyaluronic acid or ceramides — which do I need?
Hyaluronic acid if your skin feels tight or dehydrated (lack of water). Ceramides if your skin is also rough or flaky (lack of lipids). In practice, both can be combined — hyaluronic acid in the serum, ceramides in the cream.
Can hyaluronic acid dry out the skin?
In very dry air, hyaluronic acid can draw water from the skin rather than from the environment. Solution: Apply hyaluronic acid serum to slightly damp skin, then seal it in with a moisturizer.
What is the difference between 1% and 10% hyaluronic acid?
1% is the concentration suitable for daily use in your routine; 10% is more intensive for noticeable hydration. Both are well-tolerated.
Do I need moisturizer in the summer too?
Yes. Air conditioning, chlorinated pool water, and UV rays dehydrate the skin. In the summer, opt for lighter textures (fluid instead of cream), but skipping this step is a no-go.
What is a sleeping mask, and why do I need one?
A sleeping mask is an overnight treatment applied as the final step that works without rinsing. HIDEHERE Collagen Sleeping Mask or SKIN REPUBLIC Bio-Collagen Overnight Hydrogel are the classics.
What is the correct order when using multiple hydration products?
From thinnest to thickest: Essence → Serum → Eye Cream → Cream → optional Sleeping Mask or sunscreen.
