Privacy Policy

Privacy policy
Thank you for your interest in our website. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below we inform you in detail about how we handle your data.

Storage of access data in server log files
You can visit our website without providing any personal data. We only store access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the requested file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is analysed exclusively to ensure trouble-free operation of the site and to improve our offer and does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person.

Data collection and use for contract processing and when opening a customer account
We collect personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order, when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail) or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide to fulfil the contract and process your enquiries. After completion of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after expiry of statutory retention periods, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data.

Data transfer for contract fulfilment
In order to fulfil the contract, we pass on your data to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the ordering process, we will pass on the payment data collected for the processing of payments to the credit institution commissioned with the payment and, if applicable, to the payment service provider commissioned by us or to the selected payment service. In this respect, the privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies.

Use of data when registering for the email newsletter
If you register for our newsletter, we will use the data required for this or separately provided by you to regularly send you our email newsletter in accordance with your consent. Unsubscribing from the newsletter is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter.

Use of data for postal advertising and your right to object
In addition, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address and - if we have received this additional information from you as part of the contractual relationship - other voluntary information (e.g. title, academic degree) and to use it for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information about our products by post. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time.

Use of cookies
We use cookies to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually whether to accept them or generally exclude the acceptance of cookies. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

Web analysis, tracking and pixels
We use Google Analytics, meta pixels and other tracking pixels (e.g. for remarketing and conversion tracking) to analyse user behaviour, optimise our advertising and measure shopping basket and purchase processes.

The information generated about your use of this website is generally transmitted to the servers of the respective providers and stored there. By activating IP anonymisation, your IP address is truncated within Switzerland or the EU/EEA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to servers in the USA and truncated there.

The data collected is used to optimise our website and is not merged with other data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software or by opting out via opt-out links.

Address validation by Google
To ensure the correct delivery of your orders, we use Google services to validate and complete address and contact data. Data entered (e.g. address or telephone number) can be automatically checked to avoid input errors and ensure smooth processing.

SMS marketing and shopping basket cancellation
Our website uses cookies and plug-ins to record which items you have placed in the shopping basket or whether you have abandoned the shopping basket. On this basis, we can send you a reminder of your shopping basket by SMS if you have given your consent.

If you provide us with your telephone number, we will use it exclusively for the agreed purposes, in particular
- for contract processing
- to send SMS notifications (e.g. shopping basket reminders, order or dispatch information)
- to send marketing text messages, provided you have consented to this.

Your telephone number will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or if you have expressly consented to this.

Disclosure of data to third parties
The data collected as part of SMS marketing (in particular opt-in information and consent to receive text messages) will not be passed on or sold to unrelated external companies.

"The information above excludes text message sender opt-in and consent data. This information is not shared with third parties."

Location tracking and location-based services
If our website or mobile services collect location data (e.g. through GPS, IP address or browser settings), this is only done to provide you with location-based functions and information, such as
- Display of nearest shops or retailers
- personalised offers based on your location
- technical optimisation of our services

The data will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the provision of the service and will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

Rights of the data subjects
You have the right to request information about the personal data stored by us at any time, as well as the right to correct, delete or restrict the processing of this data. You also have the right to receive the data in a commonly used format. Please contact the contact point listed below.

Data security
We use technical and organisational security measures to protect your data managed by us against manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Data transfer abroad
The use of Google, Meta and other tracking service providers may result in the transfer of data to countries outside Switzerland, in particular to the USA. We ensure that suitable protective measures (e.g. EU standard contractual clauses or Data Privacy Framework) are in place to guarantee an appropriate level of data protection.
